Billy’s 3rd Birthday

Our first born son. Our snuggle Bunny. Yes, sweet Billy is three years old. I blogged his first and second birthday celebrations in years past and always thought that life would get in the way and we wouldn’t be able to celebrate this pup the way we used to but as it turns out we still find the time to give Billy a proper birthday party. If anything it keeps getting better every year now that Nico is older and absolutely adores his puppy.

I don’t think I’ve accurately described how Nico feels about Billy. To Nico, Billy is the center of the world. He is all that is good and right and wonderful. He is love personified. While we have to beg the kid to give us kisses, Billy is smothered in kisses all day long. First thing in the morning, Nico asks for Billy and showers him with cuddles while receptively saying, “awww Bibby!”

And Nico isn’t the only one who thinks the world of this 8 pound bundle of love. Jeremy and I are pretty crazy about him too. As soon as Nico goes to bed at 8pm, Billy becomes king of the castle. And Lord knows he appreciates it. As much as Nico loves Billy, ol Bill hasn’t quite fallen in love with him as much as he loves me and Jer. So he loves his alone time every night with us and we gladly hold him and pet him as he falls asleep. He is one spoiled dog and he likes it just fine.

It isn’t always roses with Bill though, this year of his life we introduced a bark collar and while it has curbed the excessive barking somewhat, he is still ever on guard for murders lurking around the house. And of course there is the retaliation poops on the carpet when we aren’t giving him enough attention for his liking. And if that puppy steals Nico’s toast one more time I might just have to sell him on craigslist.

But of course I only kid, he makes our family complete and we often say as he is cuddled up between us at night, “what would we every do without Billy?” Love you sweet puppy. Happy birthday!

Life Lately: Winter 2012

To say I’ve been absent from my blog lately is an understatement. I’ve been in a place of making big decisions about Molly Marie Williams Photography and I’ve been hesitant to post what I’ve been up to, more on that later. But how silly of me to not even blog the most important photographs of my life- my sweet family.

This winter we have seen our baby blossom into a talkative, intelligent, tender, and fantastically fun little boy. We have celebrated family birthdays, successes, visited friends and celebrated holidays. We’ve made trips to the park, aquarium, beaches, and grandparent’s houses. Jeremy and I snuck away for a few days without the bambino for a romantic trip up the coast, ending in Berkeley to visit my incredible friend Brittany. Sonny read books, sang songs, played with outrageous amounts of cars, took countless walks around the neighborhood and finally learned the value of cuddle time. He enjoyed the company of his best friend Jackson, played in water in several forms, and chased bubbles to his heart’s content. But above all we have spend most of our time as a sweet family of three simply being in our home. With Bossa Nova music consistently playing and something delicious cooking on the stove, what more do you really need in life? It’s been a beautiful start to 2012.

No matter how winding the road I take on this photography journey turns out to be, it always comes back to home. I don’t know what is in store for me or what projects I’ll take on but I do know that my greatest life’s work will always be the moments I’ve captured of my family. I’ve definitely taken many photographs that I’m incredibly proud of but none like the ones of my sweet little boy, husband and puppy. These are my heart and I hope that when other’s view them, they truly feel the tangible love that we share. Our life is simple and incredibly sweet. Thanks for stopping by. Much love, Molly Marie

Marci Phee - Gorgeous photos, as usual. I love your line about life being simple. I agree simple is best with family life. xo

Happy 25th Birthday Jeremy

Jeremy, You have made all my dreams come true. Thank you for choosing me to spend the last 8 years of your life with. On today your 25th birthday may God bless you, my wonderful husband and keep you safe and with me for many years to come. Happy birthday sweet heart. Nico and I love you more than anything.

The Phee Family Portraits

I had so much fun photographing this sweet family. We had a great day at the park chasing Charlie down as he impersonated spider man and oooing and ahhing over little baby Alice. It always makes me so excited to see a family with a boy and then a girl. Hopefully in the near future our family portrait will look something like this! Thanks again Phee family for choosing me to photograph your precious family. Much love, Molly Marie

Presley’s First Birthday Party

Here they are again, the family that started it all… The Morads! Sweet little Pea turned one and I had the pleasure of documenting this very special day in their lives. I am absolutely in LOVE with this child. She is everything lovely about little girls: small, tender, snuggly, and cute. She’s attached to her Mama and just wants to be held and cuddled.  She’s the perfect little sister to Giulietta who is now THREE years old. How did that happen!? I’ve had the pleasure to shoot basically every major event in this family’s life since G was one year old. They all mean so much to me and their friendship is an important part of my life. Happy first birthday sweet little Pea! Love, love, love you, Molly Marie
